Task 2 (эссе) приносит до 14 баллов. Разберём структуру и полезные фразы.
Структура эссе
1. Introduction — перефразирование + тезис (40-50 слов)
2. Opinion + Arguments — ваша позиция + 2 аргумента (60-70 слов)
3. Opposing View — противоположное мнение (40-50 слов)
4. Counter-argument — почему не согласны (30-40 слов)
5. Conclusion — итог (30-40 слов)
Всего: 200-250 слов.
Introduction: клише
Начало: Nowadays, the issue of... is widely discussed. / It is often argued that... / Many people believe that...
Тезис: In my opinion... / I strongly believe that... / From my point of view...
Body Paragraph 1: ваше мнение
Вводные фразы: First of all... / Firstly... / The main reason is that...
Аргументы: Moreover... / Furthermore... / In addition... / What is more...
Примеры: For example... / For instance... / To illustrate...
Body Paragraph 2: противоположное мнение
Вводные фразы: However, some people think that... / On the other hand... / Nevertheless, opponents argue that...
Counter-argument
Вводные фразы: Despite this argument, I still believe... / Although this may be true... / While this opinion exists, I maintain that...
Conclusion: клише
In conclusion... / To sum up... / All things considered... / Taking everything into account...
Шаблон: In conclusion, although there are arguments against [topic], I firmly believe that [your opinion] because [main reason].
Типичные ошибки
I think → I am think — I think (без am).
On my opinion — In my opinion.
Сокращения (don't) — полные формы (do not).
Чек-лист
200-250 слов. 5 абзацев. Формальный стиль. Linking words. Нет сокращений. Контраргумент есть.
